My photography obsession started at age 9 with a tiny point-and-shoot, and spoiler alert: I never grew out of it. After studying design at Bismarck State College (where I learned to make things not only beautiful but intentional), I mixed my love for visuals, storytelling, and good ol’ North Dakota roots into what you see here.

I’ve always wanted my brand name to feel uniquely me—something that truly clicked. After countless days, weeks, and even months of brainstorming, scribbling down ideas, and trying out endless combinations of words, I finally landed on Golden Fern Creative. It felt right, like it was meant to be.
✨ Golden: It’s more than a color; it’s a feeling. Think golden rays of sunlight, the magic of golden hour, and the warmth it brings. It’s timeless, precious, and filled with possibility.
🌿 Fern: A symbol of growth, new beginnings, and fresh starts. In some cultures, ferns represent good luck, and honestly, I’m a sucker for anything green—it’s my happy place.

How far in advance should I book a session?
✨ Ideally, 3-5 weeks ahead—especially during busy seasons. Last-minute planner? No problem! Reach out, and I’ll do my best to fit you in.
Do you travel for sessions?
🌍 YES! If your dream session involves a sunflower field, mountaintop, or even your backyard BBQ, I’ll pack my bags. Travel fees may apply, but so worth it for the adventure!
What should I wear to my session?
👗 Wear what makes you feel fabulous! Neutral tones are timeless, but bold prints and textures are welcome too. Need advice? I’m your personal stylist when you book.
What’s your cancellation policy?
🔄 Life happens! Reschedule as soon as you are able to!
What happens if the weather is bad?
Rain? Snow? North Dakota wind? No worries! We’ll reschedule or find an indoor option. I’m all about making your session as comfortable and fun as possible.
How long does it take to receive my images?
⏱ Your full gallery will be ready in 2-3 weeks. But don’t worry—I’ll share sneak peeks sooner to keep the excitement alive!
Can I bring props or include pets in my session?
🐾 Absolutely! Pets, props, and even inflatable flamingos—bring what makes you smile. Let me know in advance, and we’ll plan around them!
Do you photograph events or weddings?
